Ocassionally you find an image so stunning you just have to share it:

This image was taken by Cassini as it flew though the planets shadow for 12 hours. The light you see on the planet is actually caused by the way Saturn’s rings scatter sunlight. There’s one more remarkable feature of this image. If you look just outside the band of bright main rings at the top-left, almost entirely invisible in the image, you will see a very familiar pale blue dot.

    That is by far one of the coolest things I have ever seen. To think, most people would think that image was done in Photoshop. Funny universe we live in, eh?
